My story
Starting the semester strong.
My back-to-school story has been anything but traditional. After leaving college for my first semester , I enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and spent months away completing Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. That experience challenged me mentally and physically, taught me discipline, resilience, and time management, and gave me a new perspective on my education and future.
Now that I’ve returned from training, I’m excited to continue working toward my bachelor’s degree. Transitioning back into student life while balancing my military responsibilities has been challenging, especially with the financial costs of returning to school. Even so, I’m determined to finish my education and build a career where I can make a positive impact.
